Yamaha Motor Company Ltd. has led the pack when it comes to four-stroke snowmobiles and the company will continue to be at the forefront for 2013. Within the Yamaha family of mountain sleds is the FX Nytro M-TX 153.

Described by Yamaha as an amazing sled for technical riders and hillclimbers alike, the 2013 FX Nytro M-TX 153 features new MT9 mountain skis, which are 1.8 pounds lighter than the skis on previous models. Yamaha says these new skis make the sled easier to steer, and that they are designed to offer better off-trail handling and improved flotation in the snow.

The FX Nytro M-TX 153 is driven by a Genesis 130FI four-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection and an engine braking reduction system to give riders a smoother ride when decelerating.

Other features include electric start and reverse, over-the-engine steering, tall hooked handlebars, a track approach angle of 18 degrees and wide running boards with large cutouts.

For the 2013 model, Yamaha added dual thumb and hand warmer controls, a new mountain strap and a smoked short windshield on the FX Nytro M-TX 153.
