Polaris Industries Inc. helped out in a huge way with the Fort MacMurray fire recovery effort.
The company has donated $10,000 via the Canadian Red Cross, and offered the use of five Polaris Ranger utility vehicles and Polaris generators.
“It was important to us to help the communities of Alberta and the Fort McMurray – where many Polaris riders live – to rebuild after the devastating fires,” said Norm Sukkau, Polaris Canadian general sales manager, in a press release. “Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by the fires – including Four Seasons Power Sports, one of our locally owned dealerships.”
Four Seasons Power Sports may have been lost, but owner Gene Ouellette and his 15-member staff team are dedicated to rebuilding.
In addition to its other contributions, Polaris will also be requesting that employees throughout Canada and the U.S.A. donate funds through the Canadian Red Cross Polaris Microsite. The Canadian Government will match every dollar raised by the Canadian Red Cross.
